AXLE STRAPS
![]() ![]() |
These
axle straps fit MGA, MGB, or the Midget/ Healey Sprite. Made
from heavy duty nylon with a tensile strength of over 3800lbs,
(manufacturer’s specs) they are far superior to any rubber
replacement axle strap on the market.
Each strap is stitched around all edges using light wax,
heavy nylon thread. Three times over for the loop ends, once through
the longer edges, and a cross or “X” are double stitched through
the center for superior strength. These are hand made from USA
materials in the USA. They can also be made to order for your
specific needs, whether you need a stock length or a short strap for
your modified and racing suspensions. Total weight for both straps
is 1 ounce. Custom lengths are at no additional charge. The price is $25 for a complete set of axle
straps (2) |

SIDE CURTAIN & OTHER BAGS

Side
Curtain Bags
These high quality
bags were designed expressly for the Triumph TR2/TR3/TR3A/B but can also
be used on MGA, Austin Healey, Jaguar XK120 series, Morgan, and most
other British roadsters that are fitted with side curtains.
The side curtain bags are made from a tough vinyl that was
developed to make bank deposit bags.
They hold both side curtains with a protective flannel lining and
divider separating the two that greatly reduce the likelihood of
scratches on delicate surfaces. The bag is sealed with both snaps and a
Velcro strip,. This bag slips neatly into the trunk, behind the seats,
or can be attached to the luggage grid. There is also a nylon-carrying
strap. Recommended by the Triumph Register of America club, and the
Roadster Factory, one of the very few sources of rebuilt side curtains. Convertible
Top Bags
The
convertible top bag is made of the same tough vinyl as described above
and is also flannel lined to protect the plastic top windows against
scratching. Designed expressly for the Triumph TR2/TR3/TR3A/B but can
also be used on MGA, Austin Healey, Jaguar XK120 series, Morgan, and
most other British roadsters. The
hood stick cover and tonneau can also fit neatly inside the bag. It is
sealed with both snaps and a Velcro strip. This bag slips neatly into
the trunk, behind the seats, or can be attached to the luggage grid.

MGB CASTOR SHIMS
![]() |
When the front suspension for the MGB was updated from the MGA
design, little changed in the way of front end geometry. The 7˝ degrees
of
castor needed to self centre the steering when using bias ply tires
remained unchanged on the MGB production line. The slip angle of modern
radial tires is considerably less (than bias ply) and generally require
only about 2˝ degrees castor for the steering to “self centre”.
Large steering wheels and skinny tires tended to hide the heavy steering
that we experienced. |
